Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

StudyRise is a homework planning application available at studyrise.nl and thvermeer-ops.github.io/studyrise-v2. When we say "StudyRise", "we", "us" or "our", we mean the StudyRise service.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

Account data — your email address, used to identify your account and sync your data.
Task and grade data — the tasks, subjects, dates, priorities, notes and grades you add to the app.
Usage data — basic technical data such as your browser type and IP address, collected automatically by our hosting providers.

3. How we use your data

To provide and sync your homework planner across devices.
To verify your Pro subscription status.
To send deadline reminders (only if you enable notifications).
To improve the app and fix bugs.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data storage

Your account and task data is stored securely via Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is stored on servers within the European Union. Your subscription data is processed by Gumroad.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the app, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are based in the European Union, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data.
Object to or restrict processing of your data.
Export your data in a portable format (available via the Export feature in the app).

To exercise any of these rights, you can delete your account directly in the app under Settings, or reach us at studyrise6@gmail.com.

7. Cookies

We use only functional cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and save your preferences. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for more details.

8. Third-party services

Supabase — database and authentication (privacy policy)

GitHub Pages — app hosting (privacy policy)

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
